Donte Whitner is a former professional American football player who played as a safety in the NFL. He was born on July 24, 1985, in Cleveland, Ohio. Whitner played college football at Ohio State University before being drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft.
Throughout his career, Whitner played for several teams including the Bills, San Francisco 49ers, and Cleveland Browns. He was known for his hard hits and physical style of play, earning the nickname "Hitner" for his aggressive tackling ability.
